Name: Gullotto, Dr. Danilo
At present Danilo is involved in Structural Genomics/Proteomics research field. He was the author of mathematical methods which are narrowed towards secondary and tertiary structure prediction and remote homologues detection of both globular and transmembrane proteins from scratch. Moreover, he has been studying new evolutionary pathways to unscramble proteomic and genomic code since September 2007. Finally, he is interested in identifying supramolecular structural determinants modulating the redox potential Eº of metallo-enzymes.

Born in 1980, he was 13 when he got his first PC. During studies, his interests were the information retrievial and its architecture. Since 2009, his focus was moved to development for mobile devices. Keen observer of social dynamics on the new media and their impact on society. His goal is to design technologies that can improve the daily life on the planet. Working both as consultant and as freelancer he has developed a good ability to relate and work with people with different skills. He has excellent communication skills in order to interact with customers and collegues. He's able to analyse a complex project in order to reduce it into steps that lead to its implementation within agreed time and costs. He likes challenges and he will not stop learning.

Member of the Board of Directors of the Italian Society of Biochemistry (SIB) from 1997 to 2000. Honorary member of the SIB since 2004. HonoraryPresident of the Section I.N.B.B. University of Catania since 2005. In 1990, Leader of a National Research Project on "Biolectronics". Experience in the research field regarding the relationship between structure and function of some enzyme molecules: monoamineoxidases, superoxide dismutases, polyphenol oxidases (laccases).
